ステビアフジは、キク科の植物　Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni の主として葉部に含まれるステビオサイド等の甘味成分を抽出精製したものであります。原産地は、パラグアイでありますが、現在の主栽培国は中国であります。ステビオサイドの甘味はくせが無く、非常に砂糖に近いため、食品､飲料､冷菓、漬物など広範囲に利用されております。

Stevia Fuji is manufactured by extracting and purifying sweetening components including stevioside from the leaves of Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni in the composite family. Although the original home of Stevio Rebaudiana Bertoni is Paraguay in South America, it is cultivated at present also in China. Sine the sweetness of stevioside has few week points like that of sugar,it is widely used for foods, beverages, ice cream and pickles. Since it was found that sickness is caused by taking too much sugar, stevioside will be increasingly used as a dietetic sweetening.
