当社は、数少ないタンニン酸メーカーであります。五倍子（木附子）は、古く江戸時代より漢方薬などの主成分の一つとして知られ、又既婚女性の歯を染める”おはぐろ”の主成分でありました。
その後、科学の進歩に伴い、その薬学的特徴を活かし、種々新薬の原料に利用される一方、食品、紙、繊維、顔料、インキ、染料、皮革、防錆、木材、タバコ､合成樹脂、重合防止剤、排水凝集剤と各種用途に重要な位置を占めるようになりました。
タンニン酸の原料（五倍子）は主として、中国､韓国､北朝鮮､日本で産出されます。この五倍子は、ウルシ科の落葉小喬木ヌルデや同属植物に、アブラムシ科の昆虫”ヌルデノミミフシアブラムシ”の刺傷によって生じた虫えい（虫コブ）を乾燥させたものであります。
これらの五倍子を厳選して、各種用途に適したタンニン酸を生産し、専任薬剤師の管理のもと、常に一定の品質を保つことを誇りとしております。

Fuji chemical Indastry is one of a few manufacturers of tannicascid in Japan. Gallnuts used as the raw material of tannic acid have been known as a main component of Chinese medicines since the 1600s.
Gallnuts are used as a raw material of various new medicines making effcient use of the medical characteristics by the advanced science and play an important role for manufacturing foods, paper, fiber, pigment, ink dyes, leather, rust preventive, lumber, tabacco, synthetic resin, polymerization inhibitor and flocculating agent for waste watar. Gallnuts used as the raw material of tannnic acid are produced mainly in China. The raw material is prepared by drying galls grown by a parasite of Melaphis chinensis Bell, an insect in Aphididae, on the leaves of Rhus javanica Linne or plants belonging to this genus.
Various types of tannic asid suitable for diversified uses are produced from selected gallnuts by a self-developed proces. Since the products are carefully controlled by full-time pharmacists, the quality is stabilized.
